Recent data from Ocearch's Shark Tracker reveals that approximately nine great white sharks have been detected between the warm waters of Florida and the cooler currents of New Jersey, signaling the exciting start of their migratory journey northward. Notably, many of these magnificent sharks are gathering in the Carolinas for the crucial mating and pupping season. This vital information provides researchers with valuable insights into the reproductive behaviors of this fascinating species, potentially enabling the documentation of great white mating and birthing processes for the very first time in history.

The individual sharks currently being tracked include Cross (M), Bella (F), Ripple (M), Brookes (F), Cayo (F), Goodall (F), Ernst (F), Breton (M), and Percy (M), each contributing to our understanding of their behaviors and movements.

Percy is a male sub-adult great white shark, measuring approximately 9.9 feet in length and weighing around 432 pounds.
